Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how we work, how updates happen and how your business gets found.
How does the process work?
It starts with a short questionnaire about your business, your branding and your style requirements. We use your answers to build your website, then share it with you for feedback and refine the design until it's what you want. Once your site is live, enquiries come straight to you, and we keep it optimised, secure, fast and maintained. You pay a one-off build fee to get set up, then one flat monthly retainer, with no per-lead charges, ever.
How are updates managed?
Just email us at admin@foundandbooked.com.au with what you'd like changed, such as new photos, updated prices, opening hours or a new service, and we'll make the change for you. Reasonable updates are included in your monthly retainer. We don't use a content management system (CMS), so there's no dashboard to log in to, no plugins to keep patched and nothing for you to maintain. Please note we don't set up or manage email addresses or mailboxes, so keep using your existing email provider for your business email.
What are the advantages of secure design?
Secure design protects your customers, your reputation and your search visibility. Every site is served over HTTPS with an SSL certificate, so visitors see the padlock instead of a browser warning, and the details they send through your site are encrypted in transit. Because we don't run a CMS or third-party plugins, there are far fewer ways in for attackers, and outdated plugins are a common way small-business websites get hacked. Your site is also backed up, and Google treats HTTPS as a ranking signal, so good security supports your search visibility too.
What is search engine optimisation (SEO)?
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of making your website easy for search engines like Google to find, understand and show to the right people. For a local business, that means a fast, mobile-friendly site, a clear page structure, content that matches what locals actually search for, and structured data that tells Google who you are, what you do and where you work. On the Growth plan we also set up and optimise your Google Business Profile, which powers the map results. No one can honestly guarantee a number one ranking, but good SEO gives you the best chance of being found.
What is AI discovery optimisation (AEO)?
AI discovery optimisation, also known as answer engine optimisation (AEO), makes your business easy for AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI answers to understand and recommend. More and more people ask an AI which local business to call instead of scrolling through search results. We write clear, factual content that answers the questions your customers ask, add structured data describing your business, services and service area, and keep your business details consistent across your site and Google profile so AI tools can trust and cite them. As with SEO, results can't be guaranteed, but it puts your business in the conversation.
